2 cups water
2 lime peels
3 cinnamon sticks
+ additional ingredients required for desired flavor.
I.e. Diserono Liquor
2 cans Goya coconut cream*
1 can Goya coconut milk*
1 Tbsp nutmeg
1 1/2 vanilla extract
1/3 cup Carnation evaporated milk
1/3 liter rum +/- depending on how strong you want it
*Goya products preferred, other brands are oily
1) Make a tea with the water, cinnamon sticks, and lime; let cool until room temp.
2) In a large pot combine coconut cream and coconut milk, nutmeg, vanilla extract, evaporated milk, 1 cinnamon stick, and 1 1/4 tea mix.
3) Cover and let simmer until all ingredients are combined. Remove from heat and let cool.
4) Once cooled add the rum, stir thoroughly and bottle up!
There are variations of this recipe like making it almond or Nutella flavored, or cookies and cream. The possibilities are endless!
