1 packet active dry yeast
1/4c + 1 tbsp sugar
1c warm milk (110 degrees F)
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp butter
1 large egg
2 3/4c AP flour
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp nutmegs
Filling:
5 tbsp butter, softened
1/3 c sugar (can sub brown or white)
3 tbsp cinnamon
Icing:
1 block cream cheese
1 stick butter, room temp
3 cups powdered sugar
2 tbsp vanilla
Activate yeast combine:
Yeast, warm milk, and 1 tbsp sugar
Wait until foamy: 5 min
In a large bowl combine:
1. Yeast mixture, salt, melted butter, egg, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Using a stand mixer or kneed by hand until just combined.
2. Let rest for two hours or until dough has risen twice in size.
3. Roll dough to 1-2 inches; spread with butter and a mixture of sugar, cinnamon, and sugar.
4. Roll and slice evenly, bake for 25-30 min, until the rolls are browned.
